Building strong foundations for learning
Remedial Therapy
Individualised, structured teaching that helps children who find reading, writing, spelling or numeracy difficult build strong foundations at their own pace.

In plain language
Remedial therapy is targeted, individualised teaching for children who are finding foundational academic skills — such as reading, spelling, handwriting or numeracy — difficult, often because they learn differently or missed earlier building blocks. At HEAL Child Development Centre, a remedial educator first understands where a child is, then teaches in small, structured, multisensory steps, revisiting and reinforcing until skills become secure — always at a pace that protects the child’s confidence.

Working with your family
We share simple activities and strategies to reinforce learning at home, and we set goals with you based on your child’s school needs and your family’s priorities.
How we review progress
Progress is measured against your child’s individual learning goals and reviewed with you regularly, in plain language — never as a diagnosis or a grade.
